A few months ago I learned that even though I've been visiting Bells Rapids in Brigadoon for quite a few years, there's been a waterfall there all this time, and I never knew! In my defence, I don't think it's actually ever been so visible in the past. Future Charlie would even tell you, that the waterfall is now visible from across the other side of the valley.

We travelled up there at the end of September and parked up on a section of gravel on Campersic Road. As we did, there were a number of SES (State Emergency Service) vehicles and personnel in their recognisable bright orange jump suits, climbing down the hill.

Rather than compete with them down the hill, we stayed back and watched as the RAC chopper turned up and air lifted an unfortunate walker who'd broken his ankle out of the valley. It was pretty cool actually, and made for some video recording practising opportunities.

At the end of the kerfuffle, my friend Cyzie and I descended down the steep hill into the valley where we completed our intended photoshoot. The waterfall spot was quite popular, and has a makeshift swing for everyone to check off their instagram bucket list. I took a few portrait shots whilst we waited then switched to the new wide angle Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 lens for a shot on the swing itself.
