In January, Callum, Cyzie, Callum’s German friend and I ventured to Elizabeth Quay for the Chinese New Year celebrations. That got rained off, so we walked up to Northbridge to see what we could salvage. It was wet and warm. Great weather for not knowing what to wear. It was pretty good. Northbridge was pedestrianised. Chinese focused stalls lined the streets and the place was filled with people. We all ducked into the food court for some much needed Dim Sum – it was great – parents please note I will be taking you there in October). After some time we saw the parade pass by the front and went to check it out down at the Northbridge Piazza.

After the parade we kept walking up towards Russell Square, for some Fringe action. We didn’t watch any shows but I did enjoy a crepe. Served unrolled. Heathen.

We had to walk back through the CNY to head home. Good day. Definitely makes me want to make the most of the Chinese culinary offerings in Perth more often.
