For the second time in my life, I’ve bought a quad copter drone. The first time was about 4 years ago when I bought a DJI Mavic Pro and probably took it on half a dozen trips, which did end up in a high cost per use. I also found owning a drone in the city to be restrictive. I did however take some decent photos on a trip across the Nullabor, some whales up in Port Dennison and of course the house!

Living in the Wheatbelt, I’ve found myself having a bit more drone flying freedom, creative free time and some disposable income. Plus a drone might be useful for the business!

So today I took the new Mavic Air 2 for a spin at Lake Koorkoordine. I’ve previously come here for some astrophotography and thought the salt lake might make for some interesting shots.
