We opted for the extended VIP tour package and planned to take a river boat cruise on the Ord River, starting in Kununurra and heading south towards Lake Argyle.
Captain Rachael snaked the luxury vessel through the protected Lily Creek Lagoon, through Mcquie Point and onto Lake Kununurra then the Ord River. On our way south we passed the other side of Elephant Rock, which we climbed on the previous post.
Elephant Rock
The water was so still, mirror-like in some parts and after we left the flood plain farming areas we were surrounded by rocks, that grew the further south we went.
We stopped on a bed and had a swim as Rachel reminded us of how far salt water crocodiles have travelled from their usual haunts to find food.
We kept heading south until we spotted clouds forming on the horizon (for a change).
It prompted our speedy return to our launch pad, removing the roof for extra speed. Anyway, enjoy some photos!
